The Hampton Wythe Little League Board has come to the very difficult decision to not play a summer season this year.

This determination stemmed from discussions considering both CDC and State of Virginia guidelines. COVID-19 has affected us all in ways we never thought possible. The board tried to figure out how to follow these guidelines and keep our players, parents, and fans safe but there was no clear way forward. Trying to social distance, sanitize and follow mandates would make playing ball beyond difficult. We considered options and decided that the safest decision for now was to not play.

We are optimistic that the fall will bring better conditions and make playing ball safe again. Your player’s current registrations can be used toward future registrations. We hope the league understands our decision and we thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time in all of our lives. This will be a year to remember, and hopefully the Fall will bring a baseball season that we will never forget.

Stay Positive Stay Safe,
