A Message from Virginia District 7 to Volunteers, Parents, Spectators and Players

Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, on April 30th, Little League International has made the difficult and disappointing decision to cancel its World Series and Region Tournaments for first time in organization history. The Virginia State Little League Association has decided that no State Tournaments will be conducted in 2020, and additionally D7 will not conduct District tournaments in 2020. This in no way prevents local leagues from continuing with some semblance of regular season play, training and practice, and local tournaments/events so long as all local and state requirements and procedures are followed. Presently, Virginia is at a stay at home order until 10 June, it is unknown if that date will be moved to sooner or later. There also could be a different date for youth activities based on the federal phasing requirements.

We are anxious to try to provide Baseball and Softball opportunities for all 4-16 year old players to the greatest extent possible, but will be a league specific decision. The safety and health of our players and volunteers is our number one priority. Please be patient as we work through this COVID-19 Pandemic situation/timeline together.

District 7 Staff and League Officers wish you the best during this uncertain time as we work through this together. We'll be back on the fields playing the great games of baseball and softball as soon as safe and practical.
