UPDATED: We are planning a Spring/Summer league...

Updated April 13, 2020 at 7:00 pm

Parents and Players of Hampton Wythe Little League,

The COVID19 virus has affected all of our lives in ways we will never forget. Schools have been closed, businesses affected, churches are having their services online, the Governor has stopped gatherings of over 10 people until June 10, we are told to stay home and practice social distancing. All this has delayed playing baseball and softball. Our season has been put on hold and we await the latest recommendation from the health officials.

Hampton Wythe Little League and other District 7 leagues still want to play ball. We are going to participate in a Spring/Summer league that is planning a start date of June 13. This start date may be delayed by another executive order from the governor.

We understand everyone’s frustrations and hope that you will be able to participate. The District leagues have decided that we are unable to participate in the All-Star tournaments this year. It is not known now if there will be any state, regional, or international All-Star tournament. This was a difficult decision but one that we felt was necessary. We are still trying to stay safe and keep our families well.

Please contact Falon by email at [email protected] or call her at 757-784-5466 if you won't be able to play in this Spring/Summer league. We hope you will be able to participate. We understand that the summer is usually the time when families vacation and travel.

THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING
